3 Reasons to Replace Your Water Heater with a Tankless Water Heater
Posted on: 24 January 2019
When you are thinking about replacing your water heater, you may consider replacing your traditional tank water heater with a tankless version. There are a lot of reasons that you may want to do this.
Near-Instantaneous Hot Water
A tankless water heater, also known as an on-demand water heater, won't give you hot water the second you turn on your hot water faucet, but it will be pretty close. That's because there is going to be cold water in the pipes in between your water heater and the faucet. That water is going to have to run out of the system before the hot water that your water heater is now producing can get to the faucet. The farther away from the water heater your faucet is, the longer it will take for it to get there. Since the water going through the water heater will heat up nearly instantaneously, once all that cold water gets out of the system, you will have nice and toasty warm water for as long as you want it.
Takes Up Less Space
If you have a tight space and you need to replace your water heater, then a tankless water heater might be the best idea for you. That's because the tankless water heater is going to be smaller than one with a tank. So, if the reason that you are replacing your water heater is that it is just too small to really provide enough hot water for you and your family's needs, putting a tankless water heater in that same space will give you the hot water you need in the space that you have.
Saves Money
Another reason that you might want to get a tankless water heater is that you can save money on heating up your water. That's because the only time the water is being heated is when you actually need it, instead of circulating around in a tank, periodically getting heated up so that it stays at the temperature that you have the heater set at. That means that you aren't uselessly using energy or burning fuel to keep water that you aren't using warm.
If you are thinking about replacing your water heater, you might want to consider replacing it with a tankless water heater. There are many benefits that you can reap when you make the change from a traditional tank-style water heater to a tankless water heater.
